The director and council work to retain business, foster entrepreneurial growth and recruit new business. As well as addressing those issues that affect the economic growth potential of the area in terms of community development, housing, childcare and infrastructure needs. Another unique area of interest to economic development is working with travel and tourism to create economic opportunities, which will boost our economy.
It is the mission of WCED to enable success in business and community and play a role in the viability of Rural Kansas! We are here for those that are doing business, living or visiting Wabaunsee County!
