This unique refurbished general store is host to many community and cultural events in rural Wabaunsee County.  Originally the Kratzer Brothers Mercantile in Volland Kansas opened in 1913 and was the hub of the busy railroad cattle shipping point.  Otto Kratzer operated the general store until his death in 1971.

Once the doors of the store closed, the building gradually fell into what seemed to be a total state of disrepair.  The roof and both floors of the building eventually fell into the basement leaving only the strong sturdy walls of what used to be the livelihood of the now ghost town.

Current owners Jerry and Patty Reece saw the potential to renovate this building into the grand event center that it is today.  Visit the website to see the current happenings!

Hours: Saturdays & Sundays 12:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
