Harveyville is a quiet, small-town in the southeast corner of Wabaunsee County that is welcoming to all that visit their community!  Discover unique opportunities in Harveyville; it might be a demolition derby in June, visiting a Christmas tree farm or a wildlife adventure with Dan Bell!  Located only a short distance from Topeka, Emporia and Osage City.

This charming town is home to 244 residents.  If you are interested in visiting your “wild side” stop by Bell Wildlife in downtown Harveyville.  Dan Bell offers guided hunting expeditions, taxidermy services, deer processing and you could even wander through and gander at his business.  Harveyville offers great basic services such as affordable housing and properties, a nice grocery market and deli, fuel, agricultural services, auto repair, tax services, insurance, computer repair, attorney, real estate and home-town banking.

Similar to other towns across the West, Harveyville was founded in 1870 as the Santa Fe Railroad was developed.  Although history around Harveyville dates back even earlier to the Santa Fe Trail in 1854.  Henry Harvey, a Quaker missionary to the Indians, first came to the area in 1840.  The land where Harveyville now stands was originally patent deeded to Samuel Harvey, son of Henry Harvey.  The town was incorporated in 1905.
