"Art in the Park"
A variety of artisans will be featured during "Art in the
Park", but below are a few of the
artisans and statements about their work!
Richie Woltkamp & Bill Custer: Limestone Wine Racks- "These wine racks, made from native Kansas limestone, "ROCK"! Whether filled with wine from Kansas or California, they are a very nice addition and great conversation piece to a kitchen counter or bar area."
Debbie Wilcox: Acrylic paintings- "Painting is relaxing and I love the challenge of learning new things in my work."
Bryon Wilcox: Woodworking- "Woodworking is my hobby."
Jennifer Gillenwater: Oil & Acrylic- "As a mom with five kids working toward a degree in Art Therapy, I am not prolific when it comes to painting. However when the opportunity arises I absolutely love to do it. I am a member of Artists Association and a resident of Topeka, Kansas."
Jim DeSelms: Pottery- "I have been working with clay for thirty years, it is the most versatile material I can think of!"
Terry Yates: Oil Painting & Carving- "The desire to paint and carve has persisted throughout my life. Having never convincingly connected art process to art business, my associations with galleries have always been short-lived. For me the process is art. A finished work is testimony that art has ceased just as a skeleton is evidence that life has ceased. Still, I enjoy creating objects that people might find pleasing, perhaps even connect with on a deeper level than the impulse to purchase. If art had no value, I believe the passion to create would remain. It might be as simple as the need to keep my hands busy."
